Moroccan Style Lamps


From our travels in Moorish Spain, the sight of illuminated goat skin lamps lining the pathways of the local bazaars entranced me. I immediately fell in love with the enchanting style and warm glow. So I thought it would be wonderful to replicate these lamps, but with my own patterns and designs.

These unique and beautiful lamps utilize a wrought iron frame covered by hand painted stretched rawhide. All shades have an authentic aged look to them, with a special hand applied patina. The final addition of Henna style black accents takes you back to a by gone era of the desert caravan. These will add an exotic and romantic touch to any room.

The Shimo Kobo difference is that you are NOT buying just any lamp that we make. You are able to choose from any number of set frame designs and shade patterns.
